Doctors Close to First Male Contraceptive

If preliminary research by scientists from Mumbai is an indicator, men could instead get a vaccine shot once every few months to prevent unwanted pregnancies in their spouses or partners.
While experiments on developing male contraceptives — be it hormonal pills or vaccines — is on at a hectic pace throughout the world, scientists from Parel’s National Institute for Research in Reproductive Health have succeeded in identifying a protein that, temporarily, suppresses fertility in males.
